Overview
Kinesiotaping is a method in which kinesiotape (a special form of tape with elasticity and tension) is applied at joints and muscles with varying forms of tension/stretch and positions. It is a highly effective method to reduce pain at muscles and joints, as it provides support and stability. It is widely used to reduce swelling, reduce muscle and/or joint pain and improve performance of painful activities. There is variability of methods in which taping can be performed. Your therapist will evaluate the cause of the pain, determine the best course of treatment and use a specific taping technique designed to reduce your pain.
